Samsung T7 SSD not working with USB Hub

I am using M1 Macbook Pro with HyperDrive usb hub and a ssd samsung T7, if i connect the ssd directly with macbook it works flawlessly but if i connect it via hyperdrive it doesnt work there is no light in ssd. What would be the problem?

Unpowered USB Hub?

Likely if you look at apple/about this mac/system report/hardware/usb you might see that the hub is supplying 500mA to the port and the T7 requires 896mA
