Samsung T7 Touch Issue with iPad Pro 2020

It was working fine, but now it disconnects and responding after a minute or two and gets very hot. I have fingerprint enabled, and i have no problem accessing the files on PC. Is there anything i can do to avoid a return/exchange? I am able to transfer from iPad to the device, but then when i want to browse, it stops being readable and the light goes solid, then off. While i am using it, the light keeps rotating, i am assuming thats what it does when it’s being used?

May be coincidence but I was just looking at T7 drives on Amazon yesterday and the most common complaint seemed to be that the T7 would run hot on pretty much any platform.
