I am new to the Airpod universe. So, I apologize if this topic has been covered before. I have a 12 year old Samsung flat screen television. In addition, I have Yamaha YSP 1400 soundbar (yes, it is old as well). The soundbar is hooked up to the television via an optical input.
The television does NOT have bluetooth capabilities; however, the soundbar DOES have bluetooth capabiities. Is it possible to pair my Airpod Pro to the soundbar and then make the soundbar the source of the sound of the television so that the sound comes through on the Airpods?
A related question.....if this is possible, will my wife be able to hear the sound through the soundbar while I am listening through my Airpods?
Thank you.
