HomePod Samsung TV with Built in Apple TV App and HomePod

Hi,
I have a new Samsung TV with built in Airplay 2/Apple TV app and have just bought a HomePod.

Is there anyway to stream TV through the HomePod (without attaching my old Apple TV puck) ?

Thanks in advance.

There is not. You can AirPlay to the TV, but not from it. You will need the Apple TV if you want to use the HomePod as a speaker for it.
