Hi all,

First of all, sorry if this is a bit of a "repeat" thread. Please bare with me.

I have a late 2013 rMBP with the 750M graphics and I'm looking at getting a 4K monitor so I can use my laptop in desktop mode.

Basically, I don't want to "downgrade" in screen quality so I've been looking at affordable 4K options. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Samsung 28" U28D590D but I just need to clear up some things.

1: Will my MacBook be able to play 4K with this monitor?

2: What cable do I use to connect from my MacBook to the external display to get 4K? (if possible) Is it thunderbolt to display port or do I just use HDMI cable? (I believe that will just give me 1080p)

3: I also would like to hookup my PS3 to the display, will that work?

Any help appreciated.

Nate.

It shouldwork if you use a DisplayPort cable. You can connect your PS3 using HDMI.
