Samsung this week kicked off a new Winter Sale, offering discounts across smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, computers, and home appliances. Many of the deals in this sale are the same prices we tracked during Samsung's Black Friday and Cyber Week sales, making it a great last-minute opportunity to shop steep discounts on products that can still arrive before Christmas.

Right now, Amazon has the 27-inch ViewFinity S9 5K Display at an all-time low price, beating Samsung's deal. You can get this monitor for $767.99 ($832 off). Another notable Samsung monitor deal is on the 32-inch Smart Monitor M8, available for $399.99 on Samsung's own website ($300 off).

During this sale, if you purchase a select Samsung gaming monitor, you'll also get the 27-inch Odyssey G3 Gaming Monitor for free ($229.99 value). One of the best monitors to purchase with this offer is the 57-inch Odssey Neo G9 Curved Gaming Monitor for $1,599.99 ($1,129.99 off).

Similar to events like Prime Day, Samsung's Winter Sale has exclusive "deals of the day" that swap out every day. Today's offer is taking up to $1,000 off The Frame TVs, including every size currently sold on Samsung's website. This drops the popular 65-inch model down to $1,599.99, from $1,999.99.

Now, there are two 5K monitor (considering the new ASUS 5K ProArt) alternatives for the Apple Cinema Display under $800.

They're not as good as the Apple Cinema Display, but they could be good enough for many.

why would i want a giant screen (that generates more heat than a simple steel sheet and will likely deliver more unsolicited advertisements than the aforementioned steel sheet) on the front of the refrigerator door, especially as software updates stop coming after 2-3 years, turning it into a giant attack surface right in the middle of my home network? almost as useful as their rotating 4K TV was back in 2020.

I know it's not the most cutting edge display, but I really do love the look of my Frame TV. I actually had someone come over the other day and do a double take because they weren't sure if it was a TV or a picture. It definitely IS overpriced but it looks so cool in art mode, and Samsung did an amazing job squeezing the power and signal into one really thin little wire. Apparently there's a Hisense model now that has a comparable art mode, but I don't think it's quite as slick with the cabling arrangement. Hope to see more competition in this space.

I never understood how this was a stand alone TV model - LG's Gallery Mode does the same thing.

Does it, though? Putting up a screensaver image is not the same thing. The idea with the Frame TV is that it's got a matte finish and blends into the space.

I love mine. I bought it a little over a year ago, and I don't regret it. When it's in art mode it really looks like a piece of matted art hanging above my fireplace. I haven't seen any other display like it.

A sale tag made up to try to move more merchandise in the busiest selling time of the year. What is Black Friday now that it starts in late September and drifts past the actual day? What is "end of year clearance"? What is "new year celebration"? What it <brand-a->thon?

Marketers would have one called KuKuCachoo Sale if that would seem to open wallets or pile on debt.

More than 50% off the sticker sure sounds to me like the units have not been moving.

Good discount on Samsung TVs and mobiles. Nice to see a very good discount on the Fold 6 on the online exclusive colours without any trade in.

I'm a digital "slowmad" currently in Colombia. Went out and bought a Samsung M8 because it's the only 4k monitor I could find here that included USB-C w/ DP-Alt mode + charging.

Connecting it to my M4 Max Macbook Pro, this thing is an absolute piece of trash. Every time I reconnect it, there is a significant lag in mouse/cursor interaction. Every. Single. D4mn. Time. I have to go and fumble through the settings and turn on "Game Mode" and set "Response Time" to "Extreme". The moment I unplug the monitor, it forgets this, and so I have to repeat it again the next day.

My parents have a 2024 Samsung Frame 55" TV. It constantly fails at detecting the correct ambient lighting conditions, and so adjusts the brightness either wayyy too high or wayyy to low. For no obvious reason, it won't allow us to login to their samsung account on it. The moment you do, it immediately logs you out. So therefore we cannot access any of the personalized art features, and have to leave it on the defaults that change every few minutes.

I've tried contacting support for both the monitor and the TV. I won't even get into how hilariously bad that was. Let's just say that it cemented my opinion that Samsung products are absolute and complete trash. I will never again buy anything Samsung. Consider yourselves warned.

The frame TVs are such meh display panels for actual TV usage, which is my main complaint

They look good in art mode

Samsung tv’s were fantastic years ago, last few years it’snumber one in the UK of the tv's that break the most frequently, number 2 is Hisense which was and still is rubbish.
Moral of the story, stay far away from buying a Samsung TV.
