32 people in line at the Los Gatos store, and 60 at Valley Fair.At valley fair around 20 are scalpers. Just for anyone interested in lining up on this rainey morning.
Good luck finding one!

Dang... Glad I got in on launch at bestbuy in the eastbay... I was #3 at 1:45, even though i got there at 7 am(#1)... just left to do errands.

ANywho, be safe out there. It is supposed to storm again today. Last night was a hoot! Hopefully you will get your prize and hopefully not a cold like me...:(

Los Gatos had 10~14 32GB White wifi only. No other models. Oakridge has not gottem its shippment yet

Yeah. Half of the people in the bay area are Chinese!

I lived in the bay area my whole life and aware of the large Asian community. I also been in line in for every single iOS device. It's not difficult to spot whats different in lines this time around.

I agree. Not to mention when they are standing as a group counting stacks of $100 bills...

I waited in line at valley fair last saturday, monday, and thursday. all for nothing. I can tell you I saw exactly the same particular-ethnic faces at the front of the line. their "pimp" (a small middle-aged particular-ethnic lady) walking around giving instructions.

Not bad. I was at a Boston area shop, Natick. All the first 15-20 people were Chinese, 2-3 families (or groups). Most were carrying cash. I was my second try to get an iPad but unlucky. I went at 5:15 a.m. There were only 26 iPads. Every single person ahead of me purchased 2 / each. Many in the queue were ready to sell their spot for $150-$200. I think about the profit they would make(?) We don't have a lot of Chinese as a percentage of population in Boston area (like in bay area). Most people did not seem like computer literate either. Maybe Apple should change the policy, say one per person.

Be very carful if you plan on buying a spot. This morning at the Oakridge Mall in SJ, a man was escorted out by apple and mall security because he had someone stand in line for him, and the manager refused to sell him an iPad...Don't wanna pay $200 for a spot, and end up not being able to purchase an iPad...
