I thought to share my benchmark, if somebody is interested.

SanDisk Extreme 32GB USB 3.0
Model: SDCZ80-032G-A75
Purchased on Feb 2013.

Formatted to OSX Extended (Journaled) with GUID partition map.
The drive is empty (just arrived).
Tested with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test v2.2 from the App Store.
On Macbook Air 2012" i5 (Ivy Bridge) with OSX 10.8.2.

Hi. I'm thinking of getting a SDCZ80-032G-X46, which looks like it has the same form factor as the one you have. Could you tell me how wide it is? It looks like I would have to unplug the adjacent USB device to get the memory stick in on my MacBook Pro.

I'm not sure but I guess you can't use 2 of those next to each other...
It's width is 0.85", and its kinda close to the old U3 flash drive (which I couldn't use 2 like it together on my previous MBP non-retina 13").
 
Thanks for getting back to me.

That's very wide. So wide that on a MacBook that I'd have to unplug everything USB before I could put in the memory stick. Apple really need to start increasing the distance they have between USB ports, and USB manufactures have to stop making their memory sticks so chunky.
