I have two mid 2009 MBPs 2.26ghz. Both have been upgraded with Sandisk Extreme 240 gb SSDs. Firmware was updated on both (r221m). Both machines stable, and negotiating at 3.0 gb without a hitch. Both trim enabled. I have to say I'm very pleased with the cost of these drives as well as the performance. For anyone looking to upgrade to an SSD on a mid 2009 MBP, I think this drive is a very good, hassle free option.

Update: The 2009 MBP is an altogether different computer now with the SSD installed.

I didn't know Sandisk is now making SSDs and using their "Extreme" mark nonetheless.
