Although I can read and pull data from my SD card, I am unable to write or delete files from the card. In addition the card can not be renamed using my laptop.
I have several SD cards and this problems only appears to be happening to a certain card.
- SanDisk UltraPlus
- Files can be written or deleted from desktop
- These problems only exist for this card using my laptop
- Desktop and laptop are running same operating software
- I tried reformatting the card using the camera as well as my computer.
- I would just get new cards, however I am a teacher and these cards are used in my video production class as well as my yearbook class and I have a lot of them. :)
Help nothing is working, and Apple was also no help.
Thanks!

I have an SD card that behaves like this once in a while (not always).

That is:
- I connect the card to the Mac using a card reader
- Icon appears on the desktop
- I can read and copy files from the card, BUT...
- I can't delete files on the card, nor can I reformat it.

What I do to fix this:
- When the card is behaving this way, I just PULL IT OUT of the slot its in.
- I don't even bother to "dismount" it in the finder, again, I just PULL IT OUT OF THE SLOT
- Then, I RE-insert it back into the slot.
- After that, amazingly, the card then "works normally" (i.e., I can both read AND write to it, and delete from it).

Not sure WHY it behaves as it does above.
But, it does.

I also have an SD card (from a SONY camera) that this trick won't work with at all, no matter what I do.
