Could some of you give me reason for buying now & reason for waiting for ivy Bridge I need a iMac I'm willing to wait if there will be significant upgrades on 2012 iMac

Thanks in advance.

It depends on your computational needs.

The reason to buy now, is that you need now and CAN buy now.
The reason to wait, is that you can wait, as you don't need now.

Or more specific:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Ivy Bridge will offer substantial improvements in:

- power efficiency
- integrated graphics

Neither of which are of much importance in a desktop iMac. So is it worth waiting? Sure, if you can...and if you're the type who likes the latest and greatest (and iMacs might be due for a redesign this year). But in reality, Ivy Bridge won't present that big of an improvement for desktop machines.

Any other opinions?
