I apologize if this is already discussed somewhere.

I am looking to re-jailbreak and unlock my 3.1.2 3GS iphone that was blackra1n'ed.
I do have the SHSH blob backed up on Cydia.

I am assuming I can:
1. restore to 3.1.2 stock firmware
2. run spirit to JB
3. open cydia and install blackra1n to unlock

for sanity check, could someone let me know if there is any problem with this I should be aware of?

much thanks!

Why not just blackrain again. You can JB 3.1.2 with spirit. I not 100% sure you can unlock. iclairified dotcom has tutorials for all different JBs

I could, but blackra1n is tethered jailbreak and it's a pain sometimes. since spirit is untethered, seems like a good way to go.

yeah, I've checked iclarified but it doesn't have info on issues or complications that show up after JB with these methods.
