Well my 2 year old MBP let go at the weekend, I was using it and it froze.
Upon reboot the HDD made sad tapping whirring noises repetitively and it stayed on a grey screen for a while until a folder with a question mark appeared in the centre.
This is a drive failure isn't it?
Was planning a drive upgrade anyway, but it's still a PITA!
