Actually, Evi is a prett close second to Siri. I'm surprised Google hasn't sucked it up to add to Android. With backing Evi could be identical or better than Siri.

If you have activator installed on your jb phone, you can have Evi activate by holding the home button, just like Siri. But, I still like my Siri more. :D
 
I've been trying to download this on my iPad 1 to try it out but the installer keeps timing out.
I don't have very much confidence in this if they can't even get the download right. :(

You have to keep trying over and over to install. Eventually, you get through. Took me about a minute of constantly trying.

Anyway, my review is brief. I installed Sara and I have Siri. Sara is an exact clone in terms of sound and function, but it adds an icon so you can use a keyboard as well.

However, Sara was either very slow or unable to respond to many of my commands. I have no idea how this tweak is accessing a server either, but if it is, the server must be overloaded. At this point Sara is useless. Evi was the same way, when it was first released. I also have contactprivacy tweak installed, just in case this app has some nefarious intentions.

Same here.
I finally got it installed and it just sits there trying to answer on whatever you asked but does not do it.
I hope the maker gets this worked out.
I really want it to work.
 
If u tell it OPEN she will show all the apps that she can open. I got the find coffee shop to work as long as you say find first. She doesn't recognize my contacts so I can't text nor call.
 
I got her to call by saying call (number). Only asking my location works thus far. Hope the dev sorts out the server problems soon. Promising but pretty useless as of now.
 
Beware of sara

I just installed Sara from Cydia, tried using it a couple times and it didn't work but the biggest issue for me was that my iTunes password stopped being recognised on all my devices, the developer is Vietnamese as was the guy that hacked iTunes to buy loads of copies of his app through other peoples iTunes accounts.

Just be careful ok? I deleted Sara immediately and changed my password via iForgot

I'm sorry but that is one mean and unfounded accusation to make without any proof.
What makes you think you have the right to accuse someone of such a thing without any proof.
How would you feel if someone would say such a thing about you just because of the race you are or country you are from.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
 
maybe its the traffic, but i cant get simple questions answered.....and sara obviously failed elementary school. 1+1 does not equal 1......if so...my entire life has been a lie

I was just warning fellow users of my experience, ignore my warning if you wish but don't tell me how I should feel about myself. iTunes et al worked just fine before I installed Sara, after I installed it my iTunes password was changed, make of it what you will but I don't want anyone to fall foul of potential account hacking. I have made no accusations, just pointed out a fact.
 
I also see SARA dictation just for voice. I am just worried about the security of this. I saw one site said use at your own risk.
 
Its now a few weeks later and Sara is working fine!
I just installed it, when i ask a question she replies mostly ok and I must say she understands me very well (with my Belgian accent lol) much better than another siri clone I tried.
to make reminders didnt work for me but maybe I didnt do it right.
neither did alarm clock.
all in all for a free one, she is cool :)
and, since I have no clue, what are the security issues?

He made no accusations. Just pointed out some facts as far as I can see.
 
My mate just asked me to give it another go. Surprisingly, working a lot better now.
