Hi guys i have dell 7910 workstation that comes with sas raid controller since it already has the raid controller how can i tell what sas drives can my raid take? can i just buy any dell sas drives? I found on ebay 3tb dell sas drives for 80 each Link to drives (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-COMPA...SAS-DPTW9-0DPTW9-HDD-Hard-Drive-/112358989457)
I am looking for raid setup raid 0 i am i will be using it to edit 4k raw cinema dmg files and i need fast read and write out of my HD Right now. I have 2 x tb HD in raid 0 via windows 10 but WRITE 246 READ 250 so i am hopping that sas raid controller will offer much better performance. I know raid 0 is not safe but i always back up my files
I have about 500 dollars budget if you guys have any ideas it would be appreciated
This is the info i could collect on my raid controller
Integrated LSI SAS 3008 12Gb/s SAS (6Gb/s SATA)
