Got my original hhd drive installed with a caddy by removing the ddv drive today

Now when I run blackmagic spped test my Samsung Evo 250gig has gone from nearly 500mb's for read and write to 258!

Is this related to installing my hdd today:confused:

I think that the DVD drive connection is SATA2 whereas the HDD connection is SATA3, and that's most likely why you're seeing the SSD speed cut in half.

Thanks ....so cause I re connected the hdd to the dvd connecttion means the ssd in the main bay +hdd in the optical bay =3gigs/sec rather than the 6 gig (before I re installed the hdd)
;)
