So i'm waiting for these two standards to come out before I buy a new macbook pro.
I'm planning on buying one with a ssd so I want to make sure the ssd isn't bottlenecked by anything

does anyone know when either will come out?

Both are out now, but only in a handful of mobos. There are one or two USB 3 external HDDs and (AFAIK) no 6 GB/s SSDs or HDDs at the moment.

Don't expect USB 3 in an Apple product until about half of the external HDDs at your local Best Buy are USB 3. As for 6 GB/s SATA, wait a year or so.

preciate it.
are a lot of people planning on waiting for these standards to become popular? i don't really want to have my ssd performance capped, but even 200MB/S is still ridiculously fast

Why do you need/want that much speed? SSD's only have the 3Gb/s SATA connection anyway, so it doesn't matter if you connect it to a 6Gb/s SATA interface. Wait 2+ years for SSDs to gain widespread popularity and prices to drop. I'm definitely not paying more to have less space. It's like buying a multimillion dollar apartment in NYC when I can pay less than half of that for a mansion in Texas. No thanks.

SATA3 (6Gb/s) is quite useless since there are no HDs or SSDs which are faster than current SATA.

USB 3 would be awesome but its not coming yet :(
