I am using a data cable where optical drive connects to the motherboard and it stays connected for a few days and then it pops out.

I have to leave the screws off the lowercase so i keep having to open it up and clip the cable back in..
would it be ok out a strip of electrical tape over it and some of mobo?

Its the original cable, and it works fine, it's just really frustrating.

is there bent pin or anything, seems odd that it won't stay on. Tbh, I've never heard of this. I'd buy a new cable and try that, it can't hurt.
