So, my SSD has no moveable parts, my hdd does (will, I haven't purchased it yet). Currently, my SSD is in the main drive bay, however, seeing as the drive bay offers more protection, would it be a good idea to instead place my harddrive in THERE and boot off of my SSD from the optibay?

I have the 2011 17" MBP, but, as far as I know, there are no issues with SATA II in the optibay, just SATA III

Is it safe to boot from the Optibay (especially as OS X is used to it being in the drive by), and is it worthwhile moving it?
