SATA III 6GBPS Cable Shield for 2011 Macbook

Hello,

I'm following this http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other World Computing/CBLMB17SHLD/

to shied my 2011 17 inch SATA cable, but I don't have the shield kit. Do you think I can use Aluminum Foil instead ? since I have a roll of it free

Aluminum foil will work great, but IIRC it works best when you ground it. Find some way of connecting it well to a metal part of the inside of the case - if you look at the OWC instructions, you'll see how they do it.

IIRC = if I recall correctly. I don't have a 17", so therefore I wouldn't have any relevant pics. Look at the OWC site you linked to.
