Sata III SSd in early 2010 17in Macbook pro

i plan on getting the new ivy bridge macbook pros when ever they come out. in the mean time i have a 17in 2.53 i5 early 2010 macboko pro i would liek to get a ssd for and caddy for the hdd. my question is, are there any downsides to getting a Sata III ssd?


i know i woulnt get the 6gb and get the 3. im more looking to put the drive i get now in the future laptop.
