Today was a difficult day for my Mac Pro, as I changed hardware configurations, updated PCIe card drivers, and had to force shutdown many times. Earlier today, I booted uneventfully into single user mode to do boot drive maintenance routines that I usually do after forced shutdowns.

I see a warning I've never seen before, and we search has not been useful (citations exist but they are not helpful).
Code:
SATA WARNING: IDENTIFY DEVICE checksum not implemented.

I exited single-user mode, rebooted, and looked in Console, where I found four such entries:
Code:
04/09/15 5:43:56.000 PM kernel[0]: SATA WARNING: IDENTIFY DEVICE checksum not implemented.

From Recovery HD, I repaired permissions and repaired the boot drive. Few permissions were repaired, and nothing significant done to the boot drive.

Still the messages occur.

Should I do anything about this?

There are lots of error messages in Console I can't recall seeing before, but I understand little of what I read in Console.
