I am looking at buying a Lenovo M920 SFF for home office use, and trying to decide between the various storage options offered.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/deskto...hinkCentre-M920s/p/10SJCTO1WWENUS0/customize?

They offer either the choice of (or combination of) the following SSD drives (in 256 GB size which is what I would buy):
- 256GB Solid State Drive, 2.5", SATA3, Opal - Capable: $165
- 256GB Solid State Drive, PCIe-NVME Opal, M.2: $150

From everything I've read, the consensus seems to be that PCIe SSD's are faster and overall better in performance than SATA3. But on the configuration page, the PCIe version seems to be less expensive, so I'm concerned if I am missing something or some disadvantage to PCIe that I'm overlooking.

Are there any downsides to PCIe compared to SATA3 in terms of usage that would make it cheaper?
