Satechi today announced the launch of a new Dual Vertical Laptop Stand, which is an upright stand that is able to hold two laptops, two tablets, two smartphones, or any similar combination of devices vertically.

The upright design of the stand is designed to keep devices tucked away when they're not in use, for a more organized desktop space that also keeps devices protected.

Available in a space gray shade that matches well with Apple's devices, the Dual Vertical Laptop stand supports charging and using a Mac in clamshell mode.

Satechi today also announced the launch of an 8K Ultra HD High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable with support for 8K resolutions at 60Hz and 4K resolutions at 120Hz. The cable features a braided nylon design and a 24K gold-plated metal connector for both durability and a quality viewing experience.

The Dual Vertical Laptop Stand is available for $39.99, while the 8K HDMI cable is available for $29.99. Both can be purchased from the Satechi website starting today, and a 20 percent discount is available with promo code DUAL20.

We have some bad versions of a similar item like this and my only feedback to actually improve would have been — I need tri slots! Not two, three!

Yeah I’ve been looking for a triple one for a few months but there doesn’t seem to be many options at all for this.

I don’t have a problem with the design, but I definitely don’t need to stack my smart phone with the laptop either. I would probably have my phone sitting on a wireless charging dock or flat on a desk. So for that alone, I wouldn’t use that specific combination.

I'm in the market for a vertical stand. I wish this didn't block the vents as much.

These types of stands are good for small desks and you can tuck the laptops alongside your monitor and have the iPhone or iPad in front. There are myriad similar designs on Amazon for cheaper. I have one, does the job, it has my private MBA, my work HP dragonfly (KVM via Dell 4K display) and iPad in front to display text books.

It is cheaper that the Satechi, and is adjustable for different thickness laptops.

this is not horizontal? I had a vertical one nearly 10 years ago and it had all the ports on the bottom, you just slid in your MacBook Pro. I cannot see this as vertical. I have a vertical laptop bag and it is the other way as well.

I have the twelve south simple one which is really elegant but just a tad expensive for the amount of material used. They are yet to release the insert for M1 16 inch MacBook Pro.

Ok found it. Turns out there was a JavaScript error on the computer I was using that stopped the carousel working with the picture in it. Can see it on my iPad!

really glad this article came thru as Im looking for a dock myself.
while the info introduces me to pricing, I think I'd pass due to the design.

Ditto TouchID. I often keep it open just for that purpose.
I found out that my MBP with the M1 Max is capable of letting me unlock the laptop with my Apple Watch or my password. So when it comes time for me to put the MBP into a stand, it will be just fine. The fingerprint thingie does work well for unlocking the MBP and for consenting to purchases and updates, though.

Why can’t they make a USB-C splitter to allow the user to connect 2 USB-C SSDs?

Thanks for the reply, @kstotlani. I have read similar reviews of the inferior materials and decided it wasn't for me though.

When nearby my mac, I have noticed that my watch constantly notifies me that my laptop was unlocked. The lid is closed and in Sleep mode. It happens so often, I had to disable the 'unlock with watch' feature...until i missed unlocking 1Password with my watch.

Have you had this experience?
