iOS Save audio file in ringtone dir

Hi all,
Is it possible to save an audio file ---.m4a--- from an app, into the ringtone directory of an iPhone?
So far, I can email the audio file to my mac and import into iTunes then Sync my iPhone, this
works however it is a lot of work the app user has to go through. Just a tad ridiculous...
I am using Swift and Xcode 6.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
I have tried the Apple doc's and mr google.
