Hello,
under System Preferences > Universal Access I can invert colors and set the contrast high.

Vioa, la, things are nice looking again.
Clutter free.
Even iOs7.

However when I take screen captures, the settings are not permanent.
I can understand that the system preferences is effecting what get's painted, not the things which are what get painted, and why this happens.

I'd like to keep these screen captures though and be able to share them and use them for things as they appear when these are the settings.

Does anybody know a way around this?

Thanks,
Neon.

I'm having the same problem as well.

Could someone please resolve

Thanks

I'm not having a solution for the both of you but I found out something strange, in the Accessibility Preference Pane there are 2 boxes you can tick, one is the Invert colours, the other and greyscale.
If you tick the Grey Scale box and then take a screenshot it will be a Grey Scale Screenshot when you take one, not the Invert Colours.

Seems to me the colours are inverted inside the Display, if that is the case you will never be able to take that screenshot.
