Saving a External Hard Drive

I have a 500 Gb SeaGate External Hard Drive that went kaput. It does not show up on the desk top or in the finder. I can locate it in Disk Utilities. There it shows that nothing is stored, nothing can be written etc. I'll try to attach the info I got in disk utilities. I want to restore the HD if possible, my Wife had allot stored on it.
Is restoration possible ?
