Saving a number from messages

Not sure if it's because I don't know how or if the feature is not available.

There are times where I get text messages from a number not saved in my address book. Is there a way to save that number from messages into the address book? Also, is there a way to call a number from messages without memorizing the number and manually dialing it in dialer?

Tap where the time is on top, this will take you all the way to the top of your text message, you will be given an option to save that number. I think. I remember seeing it up there.

Yes, there's an "Add Contact" button in the top right of the text area, when you scroll to the top, and this pops up options to create a new contact or add to existing.
