Saving a pages email attachment

Where does the pages doc save when opening a pages email attachment ? If I start editing the document, and I choose to unlock, where does it save?

If I work on it and close it...where can I find it again? I can't find it on the email in its edited state. So where does it go?

Am I doomed to dragging an email attachment off the email or clicking 'save attachment and moving the file to the appropriate location, before editing?

By default, it's in the ~/downloads folder.

I just had a look and discovered that there is a folder called mail downloads located in library.

So there are two folder for downloads.

1 x downloads
1 x mail downloads

Weird, but ok...
