I put an internal HD into a case and have it connected to my iBook G4. A couple days ago it stopped working in the middle of use. In the middle of a song, the HD ejected itself. I have my music on it because of the small size of the HD in the iBook.

Whenever I attempt to connect the HD to my computer or any other comp, I get an error that reads "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" and I had to eject it. I won't reformat, so that's not an option.

The HD is less that 3 months old. Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 250GB.

All signs point to the HD itself being completely intact, but something is corrupted, I don't know what, or how to extract the data.

Could someone suggest a way to safely move my stuff off of the HD so that I can reformat and put it back on.
