Saving Divx movies

After streaming a DivX movie, I've been trying to find the temporary file (.part or .ddat), so that I can save them for later viewing, but the folder where I thought they'd be (/movies/divxmovies/temporary downloaded files) is empty. I have also tried spotlight search for any .ddat or .part files with no luck.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?
