Hi. I am planning on reinstalling Mac OS X and the application I'm most concerned about is iTunes. When I reinstall Mac OS X, it is going to be refresh reinstall, so all my information will be erased. With that in mind, I want to backup my iTunes library, so I can simply move all the music currently in iTunes from my backup location (an external HD) back into iTunes with all music tagged and with the album images I had set up prior to the reinstallation. Is there a method for this? Thanks for your help!

I don't want to backup everything using discs. I'm looking for a method to backup my entire Library including album images onto an external HD so that I can simply transfer everything back onto iTunes after a reinstallation.

So if I saved all the data in Macintosh HD > Music > iTunes, how can I transfer it back so it will appear in my iTunes after reinstallation?
