Saving jpg/pictures from DVD

I have a few DVD's that I'd like to pull picture files from. I know a program that will do it (but limited to the size of my monitor size), but is there something that will make picture files from a dvd larger than my screen size?
This website had some info on it, such as snapz, but the price of snapz plus not knowing exactly what kind of picture files it can make worries me. Anyone have suggestions?

A DVD is only what, 640x480, or 720x480 px? Your screen is plenty big to capture every pixel coming off of the disk- its just that in terms of pictures, DVD resolution is relatively low. You might as well just grab it at the size of your screen and scale it up manually if you want it larger.
