iPad Saving music files

Hi guys

I purchase music online ( Beatport) but when I try to download it to the hard drive it just plays it in a browser window...?

I've just bought a iPad Air so still learning. Can anyone help?

I tihink you probably need to download them to a computer. iPads don't let you download music into the music app anyway. You can sometimes download online music files onto an iPad, but you have to save them into third party apps.

That does seem strange though , what about all the people who don't hv a computer? Surely there must be a well known/ reliable app that can do this..?

Apple expects you to buy music from iTunes. Easy, reliable way to get music directly onto your iPad.

If you don't want to buy from iTunes, you need a computer to get music onto your iPad, I'm afraid.
