I just bought a macbook today, I've had PC's for 20 years and feel this is like learning Russian without a real Russian nearby. My brain is hurting.

The one thing I really need to know how to do is save a Pages file as a PDF, GIF or even JPG file so anyone on any format computer could print it out.

Is there any way to do this? I can't get it to save the files as anything but a pages file.

Also I imported a PC Excel file with numbers08, but could not get it to print on one page like I had it on the PC. Am I missing something? I tried and tried resizing it from the lower right corner but it still would only get so small (18"x18"). Using the Excel trial from MS I resized it just fine, though it was not nearly as distorted. It's imperative that it can print on one page.

These are the only 2 business type things I do on a computer and I cant quite figure them out yet.

Pages - File - Export - PDF

Or a trick that works across OS X apps is go File - Print then select the option of PDF
