saving pictures to your iPhone from e-mail?

I have the 2G iPhone and I'm checking my email and my girlfriend sent me some pictures (no noods) well can I save them to my phone or do I have to go to my mail all the time? Sorry if this has been answered but I did not see it

If you have the version 2.0 software you can do this by touching and holding the picture until the option pops up.

I don't know of a way to do this on the older software.

Press and hold down on the image, and the phone will prompt you to save it.
