First of all, I am a paid legitimate Apple Developer. In the past, when GM's have come out, I have saved them to USB or DVD so that I could install them fresh or just have a backup copy and not have to download it all over again. However, I installed the GM last night and the install file is not in my Applications folder. Anyone know a way to get the update file and back it up?

Oh Oh. You just let it install directly from your applications folder without backing up first? If so, I'm afraid you've lost it. These installers have a nasty habit of deleting themselves if you just let them run without backing up first.

But you can get it back through the Purchases tab in the mac app store. But you will have to redownload from there.

Back it up!

Also, here is the thread for making a bootable usb:

How do you move Mavericks from Launchpad to the Applications folder?

EDIT: Never mind, I see it appears in Apps after being downloaded.
