Sawtooth G4 likes to ignore key/mouse input after waking from sleep sometimes

It doesn't receive any input from a perfectly working logitech USB mouse or the modern Apple Keyboard about every 10th time I wake it from sleep mode, and I have to reboot it. When it's in that ignoring mood, I can unplug and reconnect the mouse, watch the red LED on the bottom light as it's recognized by the machine, but still get no use from it until rebooting.

What gives? What's the fix?

Hello teitoku, I have a sawtooth and I too had this problem i managed to fix it with a PMU Reset (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=95037) but i dont know how long that stayed fixed as i upgraded the video card and processor after that which may have also fixed it.

I've had similar issues when plugged into a USB hub that was bus powered. An external power source fixed the issue. If you are plugged directly into the computer, however, try the other USB port.
