what is it about a sawtooth G4 tower that allows it to take 1ghz+ upgrades without having the bus clocked down? both the b&w/yikes and sawtooth systems have a 100mhz bus yet for the blue or yikes the bus has to be lowered down to 66mhz on 700mhz and up chips.
all the sawtooth adds over the blue or yikes towers is agp 2x vs 1x and ata 66 vs ata 33. I don't see how a graphics slot and ata bus upgrade allow that much more cpu pipeline. if the 1ghz g4 didn't lower my bus to 66 I would buy it. fastest g4 ever on record to run at 100mhz bus was a 550 overclocked to 650.
