Saying software version 1.1.4 is up to date? Help please

Please help a noob out. I have the original 8G iphone bought on release day 6/07 just tried to update to 2.0 but its telling me my software is up to date. However, I am running version 1.1.4

I had no probs updateding itunes to 7.7.

Please help, Thanks
