I am currently using Motorola SB6121 and have 105 Mbps service from Comcast, but I usually get 125+ Mbps. Everything has worked great for years. If I upgrade to the SB6141 (its on sale) will I see any real world improvements with the increased channel bonding??

Hypothetically, if there are times when your cable node is overloaded, having other channels available to use could help with that. But if you never ever see up or download slowdowns, the 6141 is not likely to do anything for you at all.

I would hold out for the SB6183 especially if you use an AirPort. A common complaint is that the SB6141 does not like AirPorts.

This!

The 6183 is truly future proofing for comcast (can do 16 downstream channels). They haven't opened up to 16 everywhere yet, but it's in the works. The 6141 can only do 8 channels.

I use one of each at my two offices, both on Comcast Business Class Deluxe 75 (75/10) and attached to a 4th Gen AE with wireless off, which serve an AC AE that provide wireless.

Both modems use the same firmware - the 6141 is very finicky with fluctuating power levels, and the 6121 is and has been rock solid. Comcast bought my 6141 modem via a buyback and I'm not paying a rental fee for it either, and it's there and it's working - it's my 3rd 6141 and when it craps out I'll be getting a 6121 to replace it; the newer 6183 hasn't been certified for Comcast BC.

IMO you're not missing anything, I'd wait to get the 6183 when it finally goes on sale - the 6141 is getting discounted for a reason. I got mine for free and it's still too much...
