Im planing to build custom monitor from 2006 imac. i will use 2560x1600, 17 inch screen. I have read that macos scales good on 2560x1440. what about 2560x1600? does it scale good or i will see minor graphical glitches?

Tbh, I find the "scaling" of macos to be inferior to that of windows. There is no scaling in terms of setting the display 125% or 200% of resolution, and instead you have to increase/decrease the resolution for the desired affect.

People seem to prefer Better Display Pro for such actions, though I've not used this yet, so I can't say how it works.

well I already made it, 17 inch 2560x1600 is good, I got retina scaling by 2.
