My printer is AirPrint enabled and we're able to print with no issues via AirPrint.

But every now and then we need to scan a document to get it in digital form. I havent found a way to scar wirelessly other than plugging my laptop up to the printer.

Is this the only way?

What printer are you using? Some support wireless scanning, some don't. Some printers require you to install a separate driver and/or software to use wireless scanning.

Canon MG5400 series

MG5440 and MG5450 don't seem to support wireless scanning. On Canon website the current MG5500 series devices are explicitely mentioned to support wireless scanning, but there's no such mention in the MG5400 series specifications.

Thanks.

At least i know now what feature name to look for so that my next printer will have it.
