I hadn't seen any mention of this, but found it while browsing Kickstarter this week:

Basically, the Scandy is supposed to be a reasonably compact, portable, stable stand to turn your phone into an improved scanner. Having tried something similar with a small tripod--which took up WAY too much room--this one looks really appealing to me at the $20 price point (which appears to be a limited offer). Right now, scanning one or two photos is about all I'll do with the iPhone; when I've tried to do text, my hands just aren't stable enough to get clear shots consistently, so doing a pile of notes, receipts, short manuals, etc. isn't really viable. And it's a nuisance to drag out the flatbed scanner and set it up, so consequently this stuff just doesn't get done.
Thoughts? Alternatives? The little iPhone tripod I got was more compact than using a real one, but it's far from stable in a horizontal scanning position.
(I did back this one in the hopes of getting my hands on one if it reaches funding, first time I've done more than simply watch a Kickstarter from the sidelines. No other affiliation with the project.)
