ScanJet 5590 and Mac Pro

My company upgraded the Apple I work on from old G5 Mac OS X 10.3 tp MP, that had a lot of system problems (Bad disc to boot from). I got it to transfer all data into new computer, until I tried to run the HP scanjet 5590. I am able to load the program and start scanning only for it to stop 1/4 into it and it freezes. After long time the scanner head moves back into position and goes to sleep. But the software is still frozen no change or anything

Solutions I tried
1. Answer on internet (no one has this problem)
2. Updated software (nothing)
3. Unplug and replug cables
4.Uninstalling everything and reinstalling with App Zapper.

Does anyone have any solutions.
