G'day,

I've just gone to scan a document on my Canon TS5060 multi function / Mac mini 2012 Mojave... and am getting the error:

A required file is missing or corrupted, or settings are incorrect. Try the installation again.

Not sure why it's suddenly giving this error?

I tried to reinstall the software, but it didn't fix the problem. Printing is fine.

Anyone know what this error is really trying to tell me?

I have 2 versions of Canon scanner software on my Mac, and both give the same error. If I got into Prefs / Printers & Scanners, and then choose the printer, and then click on "Scan" - it opens a different scan interface - but also gives the file missing error...

If I go into Image Capture, and choose the printer/scanner there, it says "the scanner is being used by a remote user -9926.

Could that be the issue?

Cheers

Simple suggestions you probably tried already:
1) log out and reboot your Mac
2) try seeing if that solved the issue
3) If not, consider downloading and trying out VueScan (has it's own drivers etc.. for scanners). https://www.hamrick.com/

Good luck
