Hi All :)

I bought an HP Photosmart from the apple store, and something weird happens sometimes when I scan documents. It basically cuts the document (pdf or picture document) in the visible lines of the object being scanned. So, for example, if I would like to scan my pasport and my credit card in the same scan, I am getting two files, one of the credit card only and the other for the pasport only. Both files are in the shape of the object. The background does not apear at all- it is being cut of the scan.

I don't have any other external software, apart from the latest drives from the HP website. I called the Apple Care, but we checked that everything is correct they sent me to call HP. I think it will take me a week to get HP phone support lol... :)

I am using OSX 10.6.5

Please Help!:D

Check if in the driver or the software you are using there is anything that looks like Crop or Auto-Crop and disable it.

My Canon P-150 software had it activated by default.

Good luck

I was searching for crop options, going through the different menues. I didn't find any option regarding that.
