Does anyone here have a scanner they can recommend that does a good job on slides? I was reading some reviews today and one of them rated the Canon 8600F as good, but doesn't mention anything about use with Macs.

Thanks!

Epson 4490 is pretty good. I like the scanner software better than Canon. It even had ICE to remove dust and scratches. It works much better than a software based removal tool. Otherwise, Epson V200 would be good enough.

Mac & scanners

i'll be buying a MBP 17 next month (w/leopard), and i've been looking at the microtec scanmaker i900, the epson perfection V700 and the canon 8800F; all can deal 12 slides at a time and get decent reviews...

any comments or suggestions, especially re. the pairing w/the MBP i intend to buy?

thanks, karl:confused:
