Scanner Utility alias

Can someone give me a step-by-step to create an alias (shortcut) for the Scanner Utility?

I'm looking for a quick way for my wife and kids to get to it rather than navigating several steps through System Preferences.

You can probably do your scanning with the Image Capture application, and drag that to the dock, but without knowing which scanner you have, it's difficult to give an accurate answer.

Image Capture doesn't work with my Epson NX330. (I should clarify that it's networked and why it won't work with Image Capture)

I'm just trying to get the Scanner Utility App to show directly on he desktop or in Applications. Not sure if someone knows the path so I can create an alias.
