Scanning App???

Hey guys.

Does anyone know if there is an application in osx 10.4.11 which will act as a viewer etc for scanning paper documents into the mac.

I also have Microsoft word actually but am not to clued up on the scanning front. Maybe this will accommodate my scanning needs?

Image Capture, which is part of OS X, can work with scanners that support TWAIN. Otherwise there is a really good scanning application called VueScan that has never failed me.
